There’s something I don’t talk about often in my estate organizing work.
Before I became a Certified Executor Advisor and co-created The Empowered Estate, I became a Certified Law of Attraction Facilitator.
For a long time, I kept those worlds separate.
One felt practical.
The other felt personal.
One dealt with documents and deadlines.
The other dealt with energy and intention.
But over the years, I’ve realized they were never separate at all.
Because the way we live, the energy we cultivate, the conversations we have or avoid, and the choices we make, shapes the experiences our loved ones have with us.
And eventually, the way we live and experience life shapes how we leave.
What the Law of Attraction Really Means
When most people hear “Law of Attraction,” they think of vision boards and manifesting money.
That’s the hyped up version we see on social media.
For me, the real version is much quieter, and far more effective.
It’s really quite simple…
What you focus on grows.
What you practice strengthens.
What you avoid lingers.
It isn’t magic.
It’s momentum.
If you focus on resentment, resentment expands.
If you practice gratitude, connection deepens.
If you delay a hard conversation, tension builds.
This isn’t mystical.
It’s human.
And it shows up in our homes every single day.
Living in Alignment
Alignment isn’t complicated.
It simply means your choices reflect your values.
Your time reflects what matters.
Your energy reflects how you want your family to feel around you.
It’s asking yourself:
Am I building a life that feels meaningful…
or just managing a life that feels busy?
When you live intentionally, small shifts begin to happen.
You sit at the table a little longer.
You put the phone down.
You take the trip instead of postponing it again.
You say what needs to be said.
You choose presence over performance.
That is attraction in motion.
The Atmosphere You Create
In my legal career, I’ve seen how quickly life can change.
And I’ve seen what families hold onto when someone they love is gone.
It isn’t productivity.
It isn’t perfection.
It’s how that person made them feel.
The inside jokes.
The traditions.
The ordinary Tuesday nights that somehow became sacred later.
When you live in alignment, you are shaping the emotional atmosphere of your home.
And that atmosphere becomes memory.
Your children won’t remember how many emails you answered.
They will remember whether you were present.
Your partner won’t remember every errand you ran.
They will remember whether they felt seen.
Living well creates the memories that become the legacy you leave behind.
Not because you planned for death.
But because you fully participated in life.
The Legacy You’re Building Now
We often think of legacy as something that happens at the end.
But legacy is also something you are building in the middle.
The tone of your voice.
The way you handle conflict.
The courage to slow down.
The choice to show up.
These small decisions ripple outward.
And that is the Law of Attraction in its most grounded form.
You’re not just attracting opportunities.
You’re attracting connection.
You’re attracting meaning.
You’re attracting the kind of moments your family will one day retell between the laughter and tears.
At the heart of everything I teach, whether it’s estate preparation or intentional living, is this:
We don’t prepare because we’re afraid.
We prepare because we care.
Living well and leaving well were never meant to be separate conversations.
And I’ll be honest, as much as I teach this, I don’t practice it perfectly. None of us do. We get busy. We fall into old habits. We forget.
Perfection isn’t what matters.
What matters is the moment we pause.
The moment we try again.
The moment we choose alignment, even imperfectly.
When you choose alignment today, when you nurture connection, speak honestly, and slow down for what matters, you are shaping your loved ones’ experience of you.
And one day, what they’ll remember most won’t be what you accumulated.
They’ll remember how it felt to be loved by you.
Live well.
And in doing so, you’ll leave well - without even trying.
